The Reason for Urine Separation:
There are several good reasons for urine separation:
- Ecology--recycling of fertile value
- Durability of the latrine
- Control of smell.

arranged practically. The urine can now either be infiltrated or collected for
agricultural purposes.
Many cultures experience resistance in using human urine for food
production. In such cases, urine is better used as a fertilizer in firewood
production and decorative gardening.
Traditional solutions for urine separation does not aim at collection
and reuse of its fertile value. It still has an advantage in increasing the
durability of the latrine and reducing the smell and fly problem.
